Toast & Berry… great bites in Montgomery!2 min read

Good Mornin’ Montgomery! If you need a great bright start to your day or want to meet up with someone for lunch head to Toast & Berry. The proud owner, Ed, told me that his vision was a breakfast restaurant that was bright — like the kind of bright you get when you’re at the beach — and he built just that. Picture Chip & Joanna Gaines building a restaurant…. well this is it! I love to sit at the bar especially when I’m dining by myself, ‘cause you get to chat with the bartenders and get a real feel of the place. 

Drink first… which wasn’t easy because they had a great variety. The Mimosa Flight was the answer for me.  I got to pick 3 out of the 6 options, so I chose Elderberry (yes, because I always add a drop to my champagne anyway), raspberry and ginger — and all of them were delish (and, I didn’t even have “order envy” because I had 3 choices! The next delight was the Jam Sampler with three of their own jams – blueberry bourbon (my favorite), strawberry & raspberry – all served up with a perfect-sized crostini. On to my main high recommend dish… the Inigo Montoya ( who doesn’t love anyting from The Princess Bride?? :) . I love Mexican breakfast, so this was right up my alley. And, honestly, I could have easily split these dishes with someone and been very happy since the portions are a nice size. 

There is something for everyone on the menu from breakfast to lunch and a great kid’s selection. They even have yummy stuff for the gluten free friend ;) They are launching a new menu soon featuring 10 new flavors of French Toast!

The coffee bar is right by the door and is designed for you to be able to pop in and grab a quick latte or a great cup of tea from local tea brewers.  They have great nitro on tap, too or you can just a regular good cup of Urbana coffee to go.
